May 15 Wed. Global Lecture

Today we welcomed professor Urasaki at Taisho University, who is an expert of high school students' local inquiry activities.
He taught how meaningful it is for high school students to tackle problems facing local communities and to collaborate with local people; such experiences encourage maturity beyond expectation, local communities themselves also enjoy blessings of young generation's participation and their vigor and green ideas.
Professor Urasaki gave a lecture not only for our students but also for our teachers. He taught us the importance and the way of managing students' inquiry activities efficiently.
In the global world, which is now faced with a rapid development in fields like Artificial Intelligence or Information Communication Technology, what teachers are demanded from students is drastically changing.
Thanks to his lecture, we teachers could raise our awareness of how important inquiry activities are to foster new competency in our students.
