| From May 16 to July 4, second grade students listened to seven lectures on global issues as an introduction to the inquiry activities. The lecturers and themes were as follows: 1) "How to Make Local Communities Better" by Masaaki Minami (Iwate University) 2) "Ideal Sightseeing Tour (attracting people from overseas)" by Jun Hirota (Morioka Chamber of Commerce and Industry) 3) "Prestige of the Products Made in Iwate" by Hiroshi Yoshikawa (JETRO Morioka) 4) "Education Curriculum on Global Standard" by Tomoko Yamasaki (Iwate University) 5) "How to Accumulate Global Intelligence in Rural Area" by Shinya Narita (Iwate University) 6) "Role Model of Regional Medicine" by Tomoyuki Saino (Iwate Medical University) 7) "How to Create New Models of Society Against Decreasing Population and Economic Contraction " by Atsushi Hayashi (Next Commons Lab) Thanks to the seven experts, students could see the global issues from multiple points of view. Making use of this experience, students are going to take action against the global problems along with their plans. |
