| The 2nd grade students gathered at the auditorium and watched 3 representative groups from the 3rd grade students present last year's activities. First, the group handling the theme "Prestige Products Made in Iwate" talked about urushi in Japanese. The purpose of this study is to spread the practice of using urushi. They proposed some ideas to realize their group's dream based on detailed data, interview and analyses. Second, the "Ideal Models for Global Education Programs" group talked about the need of media literacy in Japanese. They proposed that we should acquire this ability so that we will not be puzzled by many kinds of propaganda from some major Japanese newspapers. They also proposed a plan of education. Finally, the "How to Collect Intelligence in Iwate" group presented the influence of ILC on nature in English. They argued that the ILC project may have a negative impact on nature if we don't take some measures against the project. All of the presentations really impressed the 2nd grade students and they found that it was important to exert a lot of effort and time to make their studies better. |
