Greeting from Principal

Our school was established as a branch school of Ichinoseki Daiichi High School part-time course in April 1948. The following year, it became independent as a part-time school. In the ensuing year, the part-time system was abolished, and the full-time school system was implemented. Celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2017, it has sent out more than 9,000 graduates into the world to date.

Our school upholds Chikogoitsu as our school motto, which means that knowledge and actions are deeply united. This is the study of a great philosopher, Yang Ming, during the Ming dynasty in China. New-Confucianism called "Yomei-gaku" in Japan, is one of the basic ideas of learning, which indicates knowing and doing are originally one and true knowledge means that it must be accompanied by action. At our school, under this school motto, We practice education that takes advantage of each student's individuality and develops their abilities. Our school's honest and positive students proactively learn in a bright atmosphere. In addition, every student of both the athletic and cultural clubs enthusiastically participates in each club activity, and they are also involved in local events such as volunteer activities.

In terms of career guidance, we offer meticulous teaching plans and lessons for students to pass entrance exams of four-year colleges, junior colleges, various vocational schools, etc. In order to realize the diverse career hopes of students, ranging from civil servants and employment opportunites in and outside the prefecture, we provide step-by-step guidance. In addition to encouraging the acquisition of qualifications, efforts have been made to establish school-specific subjects in the curriculum.

We continue to have a 100% target achievement rate. Faculty and staff members will continue to work together to improve and develop our school. We appreciate the support and cooperation of all the parents and the local community.
